Why WAT?

Because it's fun & easy...
It's your vacation! The walks will have your slow, medium or fast pace, depending on your needs. This is made possible by the small size of the group: the number of people will not exceed 6. Everyday it will be very easy to adjust or even change the program, at your pleasure.
My idea is to tailor the tour on your pace and interests.
My goal is making your visit to Tuscany an unforgettable experience.

... because it's a dip into real Italian life
You will be part of my everyday life. I will share my family, my friends and my favorite spots with you. I will bring you to the authentic "off the beaten path" places. Did you know that in San Gimignano the crowd of tourists leaves the town every day by 6 pm? Well, it's so amazing to take a tour after that time. It's my first tip for a successful trip.
And how about being a little fluent in Italian after some "walking Italian lessons"? Any interest in cooking? I am a eager cook!
I'm sure it will be LOL!

... and also because it's good for the environment
We will use public transportation to reach our trailhead. Then everything will be up to your boots!
I hate bus tours! I hate when the tour is a 15 minutes photo-opp! I hate when cruises literally invade a town! This is not enjoying a visit. Some of the most interesting towns are turning into a local Disneyland because of a disrespectful tourism industry. We will stay away from all this.
Local transportation is very good in Italy and quite cheap. That's why most of the Italians use buses and trains to go to work.

If you are flying to Italy be aware that air travel is climate intensive. For instance a round trip for one person between the United States and Italy creates about the same emissions as driving a car for more than a year!
We should reduce our carbon emissions wherever possible so our children have a healthy world to live in. But when it is not possible you have the chance to offset your carbon footprint by supporting carbon-reducing projects such as renewable energy, energy efficiency and reforestation projects. Visit carbonfund.org (or any other carbon offset non-profit  association), calculate your footprint and make a donation. Contributions are tax-deductible!
By the end of our walks I will calculate the carbon offset for local transportation (bus, train or car) and I will make a donation out of my income.

My mission is your enjoyment in respect of the environment.
